The Ramblings and Remembrances of a High School Counselor, by Don Crane is a compilation of stories taken from a column he wrote for almost ten years, entitled, “From the Counselor’s Desk,” and published by the Nevada County Picayune. The Column dates from August 1988 to June 1997.

His book offers an opportunity to revisit old school rooms, favorite teachers, junior/senior proms, and junior class plays. Also included are stories about special holidays, Thanksgiving and Christmas at grandparents, favorite times and seasons, summer vacations, and old dogs. The book reveals the author’s philosophy and values, spawned from his years of growing up in rural Nevada County and as a student and employee of Prescott Public Schools. readers will be reminded of wonderful times and wonderful people.

The book is currently for sale at The Nevada County Picayune office and may also be purchased at the book signing in the Prescott/Nevada County Library. All books are hardbound, illustrated, 314 pages, and priced at $18.00.

The book signing will be held at the library on September 23rd from 10:00 – 2:00.
