Joyce L. Thomas, also known by her pen name J. L. Sapphire is a self-published author and the founder of her own publishing company, Lady Virgo Publications. She was born and raised in Prescott, Arkansas and still lives in Arkansas with her husband and two kids.

Joyce released her first novella, My Secret Life:  Confessions of a Housewife in May 2014 to rave reviews, where it reached #2 in the Amazon Best Sellers category of African American Erotica and #3 in the Contemporary Urban Fiction category. Her novel, Two Can Play That Game was published in June 2014 and spent 3 consecutive days at #1 on Amazon’s Best Sellers list for Contemporary Urban Fiction and Hot New Releases categories. Her latest book, Masquerade:  Nina’s Revenge will be released in September 2014.

Writing is Joyce’s versions of Calgon—by locking herself in her room, she can escape her daily life’s responsibilities and lose herself in the lives of the character’s she creates.
